Week 8 of the NFL season is down to just two games remaining, tonight’s Sunday Night Football game pitting the Pittsburgh Steelers against the Detroit Lions, followed by tomorrow’s Monday Night Football contest with the Denver Broncos at the Kansas City Chiefs. Despite having a full day of football, starting with the 9:30am ET game from the United Kingdom, today has felt a little odd as six teams, or three games, were off on a bye this weekend.

Moving to tonight’s game, the Steelers enter the night with the 11th ranked offense in the league, while the Lions are 26th in the league thus far this year. On defense, the Steelers are ranked second overall, allowing 258.7 yards per game, while the Lions are 19th, allowing 338.5 yards per contest. Pittsburgh is allowing 16.6 points per game, the third best rate in the league, while the Lions are giving up 24.8 points per game, 28th in the NFL.

Throughout tonight’s game, you are welcome to join our live chat in the comments at the end of this article. You can also check out Behind the Steel Curtain for more on the Steelers or Pride of Detroit for Lions coverage.
