What one Jets starter would you steal for the Dolphins’ roster?

NFL: New York Jets at Arizona Cardinals Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

A post that we used to do weekly here on The Phinsider has not made an appearance yet this year, but it is time to fix that now. We used to ask each week for a player off the opposing team’s roster that you would want to steal and put on the Miami Dolphins’ roster. Since this week is the Dolphins’ second contest against the New York Jets, we ask, what starter from the Jets’ roster would you steal to bring to the Dolphins?

My choice is going to be Muhammad Wilkerson. Adding a defensive tackle may be a bit gluttonous, given the Dolphins have Ndamukong Suh, Jordan Phillips, Davon Godchaux, and Vincent Taylor on the defensive line’s interior, along with Cameron Wake, Andre Branch, Charles Harris, William Hayes, and Terrence Fede on the outside, but adding a player like Wilkerson would be a huge bonus to the team. Suh and Wilkerson lined up inside, with Phillips and Godchaux rotating into the game gives the Dolphins a ton of talent to disrupt the middle of the line of scrimmage - exactly what the team needs to do to beat Tom Brady and the New England Patriots later this year.

Wilkerson is not the only choice, however. There are several other players who could be on the radar, with examples including safety Jamal Adams, tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins, running back Bilal Powell, or cornerback Morris Claiborne.
