Byron Maxwell Benched, Cordrea Tankersley In

It was week 4 last year when Byron Maxwell was benched. It was a Thursday night game against the Cincinnati Bengals as Maxwell was struggling early in the season. Fast forward to now and the team has benched Maxwell again in week 4.

Maxwell is not even going to be active as he managed to tweak his hamstring during warm-ups this morning. But the plan all along was for Maxwell to be benched against the Saints today.

The Dolphins will turn to rookie Cordrea Tankersley who had some impressive numbers during the preseason. Tankersley was the team’s third round pick out of Clemson but the rookie has been inactive so far this season.
