The Miami Dolphins and Pittsburgh Steelers are an hour away from the start of their NFL Playoffs Wildcard match up. The game will kick off at 1:05 pm ET at Pittsburgh’s Heinz Field, with both teams already well into their warm ups and final preparations. Part of those final pieces is the announcement of the inactives list for both teams.
Miami comes into this game with only 52 players on their roster, which means they will only have to list six players as inactive to reach the league’s 46-man game day roster limit.
For Miami, there is no surprise in the top name on the list, with starting quarterback Ryan Tannehill continuing to miss game as his left knee heals from a sprained ACL and MCL he sustained in Week 14. Tannehill was ruled out of the game earlier in the week by head coach Adam Gase, but he was able to return to practice for the first time on Friday, albeit in an extremely limited manner.
Joining Tannehill are safety A.J. Hendy, cornerback Byron Maxwell, tackle Sam Young, tight end Thomas Duarte, and wide receiver Leonte Carroo.
The Steelers side of the list includes tight end Ladarius Green, who is still battling through concussion symptoms. He was able to practice on a limited basis this week, but was not able to be cleared for the game.
Pittsburgh also listed quarterback Zach Mettenberger, safety Robert Golden, cornerback Justin Gilbert, linebacker Anthony Chickillo, tackle Brian Mihalik, and defensive end Ricardo Mathews.
