Miami Dolphins defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh has pulled out of next week’s Pro Bowl due to an unspecified injury. According to the Miami Herald’s Adam Beasley, Suh “underwent a minor medical procedure that will prevent him from participating, but is not viewed as a serious issue.”
Suh started all 16 regular season games this season for Miami, along with the team’s Wildcard playoff game. He has never missed a game due to injury in his seven-year career. He has played in 110 of 112 possible regular season games, with the only missed time coming during a 2011 two-game suspension for unsportsmanlike conduct.
After joining Miami in 2015, Suh was not selected to the Pro Bowl and seemed frustrated by the snub. This season, he made the all-star event as a starter, his fifth selection to the game. However, the injury will keep him from appearing. The Dolphins also have defensive end Cameron Wake, wide receiver Jarvis Landry, and running back Jay Ajayi headed to the game.
Suh has been replaced for the game by Buffalo Bills defensive tackle Kyle Williams.
The 2017 Pro Bowl will be held January 29 in Orlando’s Camping World Stadium.
