The Splash Zone 1/12/17: Dolphins Lose Vance Joseph To Broncos

New, comments

Welcome to the Splash Zone, the quickest way to get your day started off right. We bring you a rundown of Miami Dolphins news from the last 24 hours.

We had heard that Vance Joseph was the leading candidate to replace Gary Kubiak and it would appear that was correct. The former Dolphins defensive coordinator was hired yesterday to be the head coach of the Broncos. Joseph was brought onto Adam Gase's staff when Gase was first hired and this was his first season as a defensive coordinator. The players loved playing for him and he was brutally honest. Don't let the defensive stats fool you, everyone in the Dolphins organization and most around the league will tell you that Joseph is a great coach. Look for linebackers coach Matt Burke to be promoted to DC.

You can check out that story here, and the rest of the day's round-up below.
