The Miami Dolphins face a tough start to their 2016 schedule, with three road games against 2015 playoff teams in their first four weeks of the year. It is a brutal way for a new coaching regime to begin, but it is what the Dolphins will face, and they will have to make the best of the situation. That brutal run starts this Sunday with a visit to the Seattle Seahawks, and the oddsmakers do not see it going well for Miami.
The line opened with the Seahawks a 7.5-point favorite. Normally, when teams get toward that touchdown favorite line, the betting pulls it back toward the underdog some. For example, the Philadelphia Eagles opened as seven point favorites over the Cleveland Browns this week, but the line is now at four points.
For the Dolphins, however, the line has continued to favor the Seahawks by a bigger and bigger number. Currently, the Dolphins are somewhere between 10 and 10.5 point underdogs, with some sites going as high as 11.5 points. The oddsmakers and bettors are clearly not seeing Miami as having much of a chance against the Seahawks.
