The Miami Dolphins have been awarded the rights to wide receiver Justin Hunter, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported:

Hunter was a second round pick of the Tennessee Titans in 2013, coming out of Tennessee. He has played in 35 games over his three years, with 13 starts, catching 68 passes for 1,116 yards and eight touchdowns. Hunter ended the 2015 season on injured reserve after he suffered a broken ankle late in the year. He also had an ACL tear during his college career.

Hunter is 6-foot-4, 200 pounds. He ran a 4.3 40-yard dash during the NFL Combine in 2013.

Following Saturday’s roster cuts, the Dolphins are already carrying six wide receivers on the roster: Jarvis Landry, DeVante Parker, Kenny Stills, Leonte Carroo, Griff Whalen, and Jakeem Grant. Add in Hunter, and Miami has seven wide outs right now, assuming they do not release one of them for Hunter’s roster spot.

No corresponding release for the Dolphins has yet been reported.
