You are an NFL defensive end, and your team, coming into the game with a 3-4 record, has gone to overtime against a 6-2 team. It is Halloween night and your have been trading points back-and-forth with this team throughout the nearly three-and-a-half hour game. What do you do?
Well, if you are Cameron Wake of the Miami Dolphins, you go ahead and finish the game with a walk-off safety.
That play was the last play of the last meeting between the Dolphins and the Cincinnati Bengals back in 2013. It was also a Thursday night game, just as the next meeting between these two clubs, a game which will be played later tonight. Can Cameron Wake bring the same magic tonight?
Miami improved to .500 with that safety, pulling even on the year at 4-4. A win tonight would do the same thing, pulling them up from 1-2 on the year. The Bengals, who fell to 6-3 with the loss in 2013, also come into tonight’s game at 1-2, looking to get back to .500.
Kickoff tonight is at 8:25pm ET on NFL Network.
