The Miami Dolphins have several tough choices ahead of them over the next couple of days. Who will make the roster, and who will have to be cut? There is a numbers game at play, with only 53 slots available, and the team needing to ensure it has depth across the roster. How will it break down? We continue building the roster with the tight end position.
On the roster: Jordan Cameron, Dion Sims
On the bubble: Thomas Duarte, MarQuies Gray, Dominique Jones
No one at the tight end position has really stood out as a dominant option for the offense, so we resort to the default depth chart of Jordan Cameron at the top and Dion Sims second. Behind the two of them, it is a bunch of question marks. It appears Dominique Jones is in position to be the third option, but MarQuies Gray could be in position to claim the spot as well. Thomas Duarte has potential, but could be a practice squad option as he continues to develop. If you said the Dolphins claimed a player off of waivers to fill the last roster spot here, that would not be a surprise.
53-man roster prediction: Cameron Jordan, Dion Sims, Dominique Jones
Practice squad: Thomas Duarte
Cut: MarQuies Gray.
Roster total: 15 of 53
Practice squad total: 3 of 10
