The Miami Dolphins lost to the Tennessee Titans in the final preseason game of the year for both teams. It was not a pretty game overall for the Dolphins, though there were some good individual performances, which could ultimately lead to a player claiming one of the final roster spots as Miami pares down to the 53-man roster limit this week. How did Miami do, health-wise, in the game?
Surprisingly well.
The only injury reported during the game was to linebacker Mike Hull, who had a hip issue. He was listed as questionable after the second-quarter injury, but he did not return to the game.
The Dolphins did have several players not dress for the game due to deliberate rest or injury issues, including cornerback Chimdi Chekwa, defensive end Terrence Fede, linebacker Jelani Jenkins, linebacker James-Michael Johnson, defensive tackle Earl Mitchell, wide receiver DeVante Parker, running back Isaiad Pead, center Mike Pouncey, and wide receiver Kenny Stills.
Miami will open the regular season on Sunday, September 11, on a road trip to visit the Seattle Seahawks. No follow up on Hull’s injury, or how long he may be away from the team, has been released.
