The Miami Dolphins and New England Patriots are preparing for their first meeting this season, facing off in the Foxboro half of the home-and-home series between the two AFC East division rivals. Both teams have released their inactive players lists for the game, which we have below.
Under NFL rules, both teams must declare seven players inactive before the game, allowing them to only carry 46 players into the game.
For the Dolphins, the seven inactive players are wide receiver Justin Hunter, linebacker Donald Butler, safety Jordan Lucas, center Mike Pouncey, offensive lineman Dallas Thomas, running back Isaiah Pead, and running back Damien Williams.
That means running back Jay Ajayi, wide receiver DeVante Parker, and defensive end Mario Williams are all available to play in the game.
New England’s inactive list includes tight end Rob Gronkowski, linebacker Dont’a Hightower, tight end A.J. Derby, defensive back Eric Rowe, guard Jonathan Cooper, offensive lineman LaAdrian Waddle, and defensive lineman Anthony Johnson.
