Dolphins at Patriots injury report - Week 2 Thursday

NFL: Houston Texans at Miami Dolphins Steve Mitchell-USA TODAY Sports

The Miami Dolphins and New England Patriots have released their Thursday injury reports this afternoon, updating the practice status of their players. According to NFL rules, on Wednesday and Thursday before a Sunday game, every team must list injured players and if they were full participants in that day’s practice, limited, or non-participants. On Fridays, the injury report will include a game status for each player, listing them as questionable, doubtful, or out of the game.

The Dolphins listed tight end Jordan Cameron (thigh), running back Arian Foster (hamstring), and linebacker Spencer Paysinger (biceps) as full participants. Cameron was also listed as a full participant on Wednesday, while Foster did not practice on Wednesday. Paysinger was a new addition to the injury report on Thursday.

The team also listed cornerback Xavien Howard (knee), linebacker Jelani Jenkins (knee), wide receiver DeVante Parker (hamstring), and defensive tackle Jordan Phillips (ankle) on the report, all as limited on the day. Jenkins was an improvement over Wednesday when he did not practice, as was Phillips who also returned after not practicing.

Center Mike Pouncey and defensive end Mario Williams were both non-participants in practice on both Wednesday and Thursday. Pouncey is dealing with a hip frature while Williams is currently in the league’s concussion protocol.

The Patriots’ report from Thursday was nearly identical to Wednesday’s report; the only change was the addition of cornerback Eric Rowe as a limited participant with an ankle issue. Wide receiver Chris Hogan (shoulder) was a full participant on both Wednesday and Thursday. The team also listed cornerback Malcolm Butler (ankle), offensive lineman Marcus Cannon (knee), guard Jonathan Cooper (foot), defensive lineman Trey Flowers (shoulder), tight end Rob Gronkowski (hamstring), offensive lineman Shaq Mason (hand), linebacker Shea McClellin (shoulder), and tackle Nate Solder (hamstring) as limited. Linebacker Dont’a Hightower did not participate in practice either day due to a knee issue.
