The first Sunday Night Football game of the season will feature the New England Patriots who travel to Glendale Arizona to take on the Phoenix Cardinals. The Patriots will show up to the game with their starting quarterback, Tom Brady, benched for the game by the NFL. Brady, as most everyone in the universe knows, was suspended by the NFL for the first 4 games of the 2016 season for what they saw as his part in the "Deflate-gate Scandal".
Instead of Brady New England will feature third man quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo. Garoppolo will have his hands full facing what has been one of the NFL's best defenses over the last few seasons in the Cardinals. After being really good but just not quite good enough over the last couple of seasons, many think that this will be the Cardinals year to play in the Super Bowl. Defeating what is perennially one of the best teams in the NFL, to kick off the season, regardless of who is under center for them is the kind of start that the Cardinals are looking for.
