The 2016 edition of the Miami Dolphins make their unofficial debut on Friday night as they get on the field for their first preseason contest of the year. Looking to put a 6-10 2015 campaign behind them, the team heads north to face the New York Giants. The game will likely feature very little of the starters for either team, with both using the game as a chance simply to shake off the rust of the starters then as an extended look at the veterans and younger players further down the depth chart.
The Dolphins have already ruled out several players, including running back Arian Foster. Accoding to a report from the Miami Herald's Armando Salguero, wide receiver DeVante Parker, defensive end Cameron Wake, defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh, and defensive end Mario Williams will also be sitting out the contest.
