A day after Dion Jordan was reinstated by the NFL, the Dolphins placed him on the Non-Football Injury list, due to a knee injury. The injury occurred sometime during his time away from the team, and caused the 26-year-old defensive end to get surgery this offseason.
The Miami Dolphins are placing DE Dion Jordan on NFI. He will not earn the roster bonus due him on fifth day of season.

The knee injury saved the Dolphins $1.69-million, a roster bonus the team would have owed Dion Jordan on the fifth day of the league year. When asked about the knee injury, Coach Gase said, “it was news to us”.
Dion Jordan’s timetable to return is 2-3 weeks.
Dion Jordan characterized his knee surgery as a "clean out," which is consistent with 2-3 wk. timetable I reported earlier for his return.
