According to NFL.com Arian Foster Signs With the Miami Dolphins

Steve Mitchell-USA TODAY Sports

According to NFL.com's Marc Sessler and NFL insider Ian Rapoport the Miami Dolphins have signed former Houston Texans running back Arian Foster to one year deal. Many Dolphins fans had questioned what the Dolphins would do for running back depth after the departure of Lamar Miller who ironically signed with the Houston Texans this past off-season. This reads as a depth signing for the Phins with the team also no doubt hoping that Foster might find some of the old magic that he displayed while playing in Texas.

Foster, 29, also had a visit scheduled with the Detriot Lions at a later date but it appears as if he was happy enough with the situation in Miami to go ahead and sign upon his visit today with the Phins. Foster has been working to return to football after rupturing his Achilles tendon in a game last October. He was subsequently cut by the Texans this last March. Arian has been working out at his brother Abdul's Houston training facility, IX Innovations. His brother, when asked for comment on Arian's recovery remarked: "Arian's doing great" back in March of this year.

The 2016 season will mark Foster's 8th NFL campaign with 2015 being the last season where he was what most fans would consider "productive". Arian managed to put up 1,246 yards rushing to go along with 8 touchdowns that season.
