The Miami Dolphins find two players on the Top 100 players list from USA Today's For the Win. Safety Reshad Jones was ranked 49th by FTW's Steven Ruiz, while defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh was 26th on the list. Ruiz described the ranking as a projection of how a player is expected to play in 2016, rather than how they performed in 2015.

Of Jones' ranking, Ruiz writes:

The Dolphins aren’t afraid to position Jones in the deep middle on passing downs, but his true value comes as an extra defender in the box. He’s a tough player who takes on blocks violently and can also blow up plays in the backfield with his explosiveness off the edge.

His explanation of Suh's rating reads:

Suh was a force on the interior last year after signing a big contract in the offseason. He’ll have to raise his sack production if he’s ever going to play up to that deal, but he’s still impossible to run against and demands double team blocks on most snaps.

Maybe a little surprising is the omission from the list of wide receiver Jarvis Landry. Does the third-year receiver warrant being on the ranking of the top 100 players for 2016?

Jones is currently skipping the team's voluntary offseason practices as he looks for a new contract from the Dolphins. He currently has two years remaining on a four-year deal he signed in 2014, but Jones wants to be paid among the top tier of safeties, where the going price is around $10 million per year on average. Jones' contract pays him $7 million per season. Jones made his first Pro Bowl after the season.

Suh came to Miami in 2015 as the highest paid non-quarterback in league history. A six-year, $114 million contract will keep him in Miami for several more years, and will continue to have analysts stating that he is not playing up to the value of the contract. Suh had a good 2016 season, but many were disappointed that it was not as dominating as had been expected. Suh was not selected to the Pro Bowl.
