The NFL began its annual countdown of the Top 100 Players in the league on Wednesday, working from number 100 to number 91. The list, which tallies votes from the players in the league, will be released over a 10-week period, until the number one player is announced on July 6.

The first ten players included Oakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr (100), Buffalo Bills guard Richie Incognito (97) and wide receiver Sammy Watkins (96), and Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck (92). Also listed in this first set was Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jarvis Landry, who set the team record in receptions with 110 in 2015. He gained 1,157 yards with four touchdowns.

Landry's 194 receptions in his first two years is an NFL record.

Overshadowed often by his former college teammate Odell Beckham, Jr., Landry was able to start making people take notice of him last year. He earned his first Pro Bowl berth, thanks to both his work as a receiver and as a punt and kick returner, where he averaged 9.9 yards per return and 24.7 yards per return, respectively. He also returned a punt for a touchdown.

Landry is the first member of the Dolphins to appear on the Top 100 Players list in 2016.
