Update: Don Shula has been treated and has been discharged.
The NFL's winningest head coach and legend Don Shula was admitted to a North Miami-Dade hospital Monday evening. Coach Shula is dealing with fluid retention and sleep apnea. Shula's wife Mary Ann issued a statement:
"Coach Shula has been admitted to the hospital due to fluid retention and sleep apnea. The family is looking for a speedy recovery."
Shula, 86, coached for the Dolphins from 1970-1995. Shula has slowed down in recent years and has usually appeared in a motorized cart.
