The Miami Dolphins announced that they have waived defensive end Damontre Moore, running back Jahwan Edwards, and wide receiver Christion Jones.
Moore was signed last season in December and appeared in the final three games of the Dolphins season. He played in eleven games for the New York Giants in 2015 also. Moore recorded 4 tackles, 1 sacks, and 1 pass defensed. On the outside, it looked like Moore had a good chance of making the Dolphins final roster. The Dolphins are getting thin on defensive line depth and have remain interested in Jason Jones.
Edwards joined Miami in December after signing onto the teams practice squad. He also spent time with the Atlanta Falcons and Jacksonville Jaguars practice squads last season. Edwards was an undrafted free agent and was signed by the San Diego Chargers in 2015.
Jones spent the entire 2015 offseason and training camp with the Dolphins organization. He was an undrafted free agent out of Alabama. Jones was waived at the end of training camp.
