Both sides of the team were bad last year. Neither the defense or the offense lived up to expectations. Ryan Tannehill was 'babied' and was not allowed to audible under offensive coordinator Bill Lazor. Now, according to safety Michael Thomas, the defensive players were handcuffed with vanilla plays. That will change with Vance Joseph this season.
