Dolphins Claim DT Jones Off Waivers From Patriots

Former Texans Sixth Rounder To Compete For Time In Rotation

Pro Football Talk reported Monday afternoon that the Miami Dolphins have claimed former New England Patriots defensive tackle Chris Jones, off waivers earlier in the day.

Jones, who  was originally selected in the sixth round of the 2013 draft by the Houston Texans, is expected to compete for playing time in Miami's rotation of interior defensive lineman.

There is no word yet on whether any other teams put in a claim for Jones.
