The Dolphins met with former Detroit Lions defensive lineman, Jason Jones. The Dolphins expressed interest in Jones earlier in the free agent process. However, nothing happened and Jones went on to visit with other teams. Jones would be more of a rotational signing.

Free agent defensive end Jason Jones visited the Dolphins Friday, a league source told PFT. The Dolphins showed interest in Jones early in the free agency period last month. Jones also visited the Cowboys in late March. Jones, 29, spent the last three seasons with the Lions.
