Rishard Matthews Signs Three Year Deal With The Tennessee Titans

Christopher Hanewinckel-USA TODAY Sports

Reports are that former Miami Dolphins wide receiver Rishard Matthews has signed a three-year deal with the Tennesse Titans. Matthews, of course, spent his first four NFL seasons with the Miami Dolphins. The Dolphins originally drafted Matthews in the 7th round of the 2012 NFL Draft out of Nevada. Reports were that the Dolphins wanted to hold on to Matthews but word was that Rishard wanted to play for a team that would give him a shot at a starting wide receiver spot. The emergence of wideout Jarvis Landry last season coupled with Miami spending a first rounder on DeVante Parker in last year's draft all but assured Matthews that he would not gain one of the two starting spots in Miami. In his four seasons with Miami, Rishard recorded 107 catches for 1,396 yards and 8 touchdowns. His most productive season for the Dolphins was last year where he caught 43 balls for 662 yards, a 15.4 yard per reception average and 4 touchdowns.
