At this point, the Miami Dolphins do not even know if or when Dion Jordan will be reinstated to play in the NFL. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell will not even take up the matter and make a decision on reinstatement until sometime late in April. Assuming that Jordan has passed all his drug tests in the last year he will most likely be reinstated. If that happens, as was reported yesterday, the Dolphins are said to be willing to give Jordan one more shot at the NFL, with the caveat that he want's to still play and is willing to come in and compete. Those two qualifiers are the big question given his multiple failed drug tests in the past.
In the past year, Jordan has been tested by the NFL as many as ten times in a month. If he failed even one of those tests along the way he is in real danger of being banned from the NFL for good at which point the Dolphins will not even have a choice to make. One thing that may give Dolphins fans that are still a fan of Jordan's some hope is the addition of linebacker Kiko Alonso. Alonso and Jordan are close friends and Kiko told reporters last week in response to questions about Dion that "he's going to come back and have a chip on his shoulder".
So if you were the Dolphins what would you do? What would you like to see happen with Dion Jordan at this point?
