2016 Super Bowl 50 odds: Panthers continue to be heavy favorites

The odds for Super Bowl 50 continue to favor the Carolina Panthers over the Denver Broncos, and the number continues to get bigger.

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

The Carolina Panthers and the Denver Broncos will meet Sunday evening in Super Bowl 50, with the winner declared the NFL's 2015-2016 champion. The NFC Champion Panthers enter the game with the presumed league MVP in quarterback Cam Newton while the AFC Champion Broncos bring future Hall of Fame quarterback Peyton Manning to the contest. The game opened initially with the Panthers favored to win by 3.5 points, but that number has continued to move away from the Broncos.

The line initially settled between 4.5 and 5 points in favor of the Panthers, but has continued to move toward Carolina over the last few days. Now, the Panthers are favored by as much as 6 points.

The over/under for the game continues to grow as well. It initially opened at 44 points, but has now expanded to 45 points.

We are starting to move toward bigger numbers in favor of the Panthers, which is not surprising with how many analysts seem to think the Broncos do not have much of a chance in this contest. Will the line tighten back up over the next 24 hours?
