NFL Playoff scenarios Week 14: NFC and AFC standings and clinching

Week 14 opens up more teams to claim their berth in the postseason.

The NFL calendar is down to the last four weeks of the regular season, which means are are getting closer and closer to the Playoffs. Last week, the Dallas Cowboys locked themselves into the postseason, the first team to do so this year. This weekend, three more teams can lock themselves into a Playoff berth.

The Playoff scenarios for teams in Week 14 are:

AFC

New England Patriots

Clinch AFC East with:

  • Win and Miami loss/tie OR
  • Tie and Miami loss

Clinch first-round bye with:

  • Win and Miami loss/tie and Pittsburgh loss/tie

Oakland Raiders

Clinch playoff berth with:

  • Win and Miami loss/tie OR
  • Win and Denver loss OR
  • Tie and Miami loss and Baltimore loss/tie OR
  • Tie and Miami loss and Pittsburgh loss/tie

NFC

Clinched - Dallas (Playoff berth)

Dallas Cowboys

Clinch NFC East with:

  • Win

Clinch first-round bye with:

  • Win and Detroit loss/tie OR
  • Win and Seattle loss

Clinch homefield advantage throughout playoffs with:

  • Win and Detroit loss/tie and Seattle loss

Seattle Seahawks

Clinch NFC West with:

  • Win and Arizona loss/tie OR
  • Tie and Arizona loss
