It was an ugly Sunday for the Miami Dolphins. It’s an ugly Tuesday for their power rankings.

The Miami Dolphins crashed and burned on Sunday as they got crushed by the Baltimore Ravens 38-6. It was an ugly performance all around for Miami, which could not get the offense started and could not get a defensive stop. It was a bad performance, one that the team - and fans - are hoping is quickly put behind them.

A bad performance, like that, however, will impact the power rankings for the Dolphins. The team was just starting to climb into the top ten in some of the power rankings from around the web, enough that their average position was 10th in the league last week. This week, that will no longer be the case.

Each week, we take a look at some of the various NFL Power Rankings from around the web, seeing where the Dolphins are ranked and what other sites are saying about the team. Here is the Week 14 version of the Power Rankings review:

Comments: Come on, Miami Dolphins. I was just starting to believe in you. Six straight wins in the NFL is no joke, but perhaps November games against the likes of the New York Jets, Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers made the Dolphins look a little better than reality.

Or a lot better.

A week after getting toasted by Colin Kaepernick for most of Week 12, Joe Flacco had an even bigger day with 381 passing yards and four touchdowns. Prior to Sunday, Flacco hadn’t thrown more than one passing touchdown in a 2016 game against any team other than the Cleveland Browns.

Comments: Sunday’s blowout loss to the Ravens after six straight wins shows that the Dolphins may not be for real after all. It’s understandable that they’d struggle offensively, but the defense was gashed by a team that has failed to move the ball all season. Fortunately, there’s still time for them to get back in the playoff race.

USA Today

Week 14: 12

Last Week: 11

Comments: Forget Ryan Tannehill's clunker Sunday. This defense has allowed 971 yards last two weeks to 49ers and Ravens. Those are serious red flags.

Comments: A bad loss at the Ravens doesn’t invalidate everything the Dolphins did in their six-game winning streak. They beat some good teams. But anytime you lose 38-6 to a team that is about your equal on paper, it’s troubling.

CBS Sports

Week 13: 13

Comments: That was an embarrassingly bad loss to the Ravens. The six-game streak is dead.

Comments: Complaints poured in over the Dolphins dropping one spot last week despite pulling out the win over the 49ers. The thinking then was that Miami was not impressive in barely holding off Colin Kaepernick (who got benched this week while his team lost by 20). The thinking now is that the Dolphins were not impressive in their 6-38 contest in Baltimore, either. Adam Gase's group is mired right in the thick of that wild-card morass, though.

ESPN

Week 14: 16

Last Week: 12

Comments: Well that was a spectacular end to Miami's six-game winning streak. The Dolphins had more turnovers Sunday (3) than they did during the streak (2), and scored a season-low six points in the loss at Baltimore. Miami looks to get back on track against Arizona this week.

Bleacher Report

Comments: Talk about a rude awakening.

Miami killed all the good vibes off a six-game winning streak in one 60-minute outing. It could only hide its defensive back-seven issues for so long.

Those issues caught up with the 'Phins in a big way in Week 13. Linebackers and safeties weren’t quick enough to keep Dennis Pitta—yes, the Dennis Pitta with a reconstructed hip—from wreaking havoc over the middle. Nor were the cornerbacks quick enough to contain Breshad Perriman on a long touchdown catch-and-run.

Baltimore didn’t punt until the third quarter. Ryan Tannehill hardly had a chance to keep pace.

Looking forward: The 'Phins defense is trending in the wrong direction. So it's exactly the right time to try and take on David Johnson.
