The Miami Dolphins and Buffalo Bills are about 90 minutes from kickoff in their Week 16 showdown. According to NFL rules, both teams have to list seven players as “inactive” for the game, meaning each team can only use 46 of their 53 players during the game. Typically, this allows for the teams to keep injured players on the active roster, but not take up a game day slot, but it also means there will be surprise healthy players land on the list.

For the Dolphins, the inactive list this week includes injured players like quarterback Ryan Tannehill and cornerback Byron Maxwell. Jelani Jenkins is also listed as inactive as he continues to deal with injuries.

Miami also listed safety Jordan Lucas, tight end Thomas Duarte, wide receiver Leonte Carroo, and tight end Dominique Jones as inactive for the weekend. The team will be using Rashawn Scott at wide receiver over Carroo, who counts as a “healthy surprise” inactive player this week.

On the Bills’ side of the inactive list, quarterback Cardale Jones, wide receiver Dez Lewis, linebacker Lerentee McCray, tackle Cordy Glenn, tight end Logan Thomas, tight end Gerald Christian, and defensive tackle Jerel Worthy were all listed.

Kickoff for the game is at 1pm ET.
