The Miami Dolphins completed the season sweep against the New York Jets last week, and now will look to accomplish the same feat against the Buffalo Bills this week. Miami comes into this game in sixth place in the AFC Playoff picture and able to claim their first postseason berth since 2008 with a win and some help. The Bills, meanwhile, are still mathematically alive in the playoff chase, but need this win and a lot of help to be able to stay alive for next weekend’s season finale.
In Week 7, the Dolphins beat the Bills 28-25 in Miami, the second victory of six in a row Miami would win to move themselves back into the AFC Playoff picture. That game featured the second-straight 200-yard rushing performance from Miami’s Jay Ajayi as he picked up 214 yards and a touchdown on 28 carries. Quarterback Ryan Tannehill, who will miss the up-coming game due to a knee injury, threw for 204 yards and a touchdown on 15-for-25 passing. On the Bills’ side of the box score, Tyrod Taylor thew for 221 yards with a touchdown on 14-for-28 passing and led the team in rushing with 35 yards and a touchdown on seven carries.
