On October 22nd, I discussed the possibility of the Dolphins making a playoff push. The team was coming off of two wins and I felt they were turning the corner. After the article went up, people commented claiming I was too optimistic about the team. Someone even brought up the old Jim Mora video!
It is now November 21st and the Miami Dolphins are 6-4 with a five game win streak. Yesterday’s victory against the Rams was not pretty. In fact, I started to question the heart of some of the players until the final minutes of the game. I don't know what Adam Gase told his team in the 4th quarter, but it clearly sparked a fire underneath them.
We saw a different Miami team. The old Dolphins would've flopped and been content with leaving the West Coast with a 5-5 record. Instead, Tannehill who is consistently critiqued by the media for not being able to make clutch plays, led our team to consecutive touchdown drives for the win. How about Devante Parker? He came in clutch and gave a glimpse into the future of this group.
My favorite part of the game was when the whole entire Dolphins offensive unit pushed Landry into the end zone to get within three of the Rams. The dynamic of the game changed drastically. Would Mike Wallace have done that? You have a better chance of being at the DMV for only 10 minutes then that man contributing anything positive.
The Dolphins continue to impress me and the next couple of weeks I think they are going to surprise more then just their fan base.
