Jamie Collins traded from Patriots to Browns

The Patriots are doing Patriots things again. We are all going to suffer.

Linebacker Jamie Collins was reportedly looking for ‘Von Miller’ type of money from the New England Patriots as he heads toward the end of his contract after this season. In a very Patriots move, the team rewarded Collins’ demands by shipping the linebacker to the Cleveland Browns for a conditional third round draft pick next year.

Yep, and somehow Bill Belichick will turn that pick into the greatest football player to ever walk the planet. It's the Patriots way.

Former Dolphins beat writer turned traitor...I mean Patriots beat writer....Ben Volin has said the Patriots were having ‘'a lot of trouble’ with Collins in working toward a contract extension. Now, that will be the Browns’ problem, and he could be headed toward a franchise tag from his new team.

The Patriots meanwhile will look to continue with only one half of, as Pats Pulpit described it today, one ‘part of the best linebacker duo in the NFL.’ Of course, that part that they still have is Dont’a Hightower, so try not to feel too badly for the poor Patriots.
