NFL Playoffs Championship schedule: Patriots at Broncos, Cardinals at Panthers game time, online stream, odds

New, comments

The AFC and NFC Championship games will be played on Sunday. Here are the basics for what you need to know.

Sam Sharpe-USA TODAY Sports

The NFL is down to the semi-final contests, pitting the last four teams standing in the AFC Championship and NFC Championship games this weekend. Both conferences have their top two seeded teams still in contention for a berth in the Super Bowl, the 50th time the game has been played.

The second seeded New England Patriots are looking to continue the defense of their Super Bowl championship last season as they visit the top seeded Denver Broncos in the AFC Championship. New England is favored in the game by about a field goal, and a lot of the focus for the game is on the quarterbacks matchup, with New England's Tom Brady meeting Denver's Peyton Manning for the 17th time in their Hall of Fame careers.

On the NFC side of the bracket, the top seeded Carolina Panthers will host the second seeded Arizona Cardinals. Like the AFC game, the line on this game seems to be hovering right around the field goal mark, in this case with the Panthers favored. Combined, the two teams lost four games this season, with Carolina nearly completing the undefeated regular season but suffered their only defeat so far in Week 16.
