The main reason the Dolphins wanted Adam Gase to be their head coach is because he has been labeled as a quarterback guru. Gase helped Peyton Manning throw for historic numbers and helped Jay Cutler keep care of the ball. I think Cutler may have had a better season, but he didn't have much help due to offensive injuries.

Gase appeared on the Joe Rose show and called Ryan Tannehill's 2015 season a "hiccup". Gase also believes he will be able to help develop Tannehill into that franchise quarterback.
