The first week of the 2015 NFL season is upon us, with the officialy kickoff Thursday night. Three days later, the Miami Dolphins will begin their 2015 campaign with a visit to the Washington Redskins. Miami will be looking to get off to a fast start this season, facing several of the bottom ranked team in the NFL to start the year before running through a gauntlet of highly ranked teams at the end of the season.
The Dolphins will be looking to dominate the Redskins' offensive line, fully utilizing the combination of Cameron Wake and Ndamukong Suh for the first time in a meaningful game. On offense, the team will be looking to get all of their new offensive weapons, including wide receivers Greg Jennings, Kenny Stills, and DeVante Parker and tight end Jordan Cameron, as well as the returning players such as running back Lamar Miller and wide receivers Jarvis Landry and Rishard Matthews, involved in the game early. Quarterback Ryan Tannehill, entering his fourth season, looks poised to break into the upper levels of quarterback in the league this year, with a big performance against the Redskins a possibility.
I think Miami comes away with the victory behind that big performance from Tannehill. I'll make my prediction Miami 28, Washington 10. I just think, at the end of the day, the Miami defensive line will be abel to overwhelm an under-performing Washington offensive line, and that will make the majority of the difference in the game.
