The NFL's deadline for all 32 franchises to reduce their rosters to 53 players ahead of the start of the regular season ended at 4pm ET. The Miami Dolphins have not yet released their moves for the day, but most of the cuts appear to have leaked to the media. One of the last moves was to cut the team's 2013 fifth round pick:
Dolphins say they prefer, at the moment, to keep Ajayi on 53-man roster even though he could miss several weeks.

Gillislee only appeared in three games with the Dolphins, carry the ball six times for 21 yards. He was in a position battle all offseason and training camp, but was never able to climb up the depth chart.
You can follow all of the cut announcements in our StoryStream, and see the updated roster here. We will provide the full confirmation list as soon as the Dolphins release it.
