The Dolphins have released two more played in the efforts to get the roster down to the NFL's regular season 53-man roster. Both players were contributors during the preseason, but now find themselves without a job.
The Dolphins have cut LB Jordan Tripp and TE Jake Stoneburner, according to league sources.

Tripp was injured during the preseason, but was thought to have done enough to earn himself a primary reserve role among the linebackers. However, it appears the team would rather go with some of the younger players behind the starting group of Koa Misi, Jelani Jenkins, and Kelvin Sheppard.
Stoneburner appeared to have a spot on the roster as late as today, when the team released Tim Semisch, making Stoneburner the only tight end behind Jordan Cameron and Dion Sims. Miami now will likely look to the waiver wires and free agency to find some tight end depth.
We are all still waiting for the Dolphins to release their roster moves list, confirming all of the cuts. You can follow all of the cut announcements in our StoryStream, and see the updated roster here.
