Bills @ Dolphins: offensive snap counts for the Miami Dolphins

The Miami Dolphins were blown out by the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. Today we look back at the offensive snap counts for the team.

Andrew Innerarity-USA TODAY Sports

The Miami Dolphins laid an egg during their 2015 home opener, losing to the Buffalo Bills 41-14. It was a miserable performance across the entire team. In fact, it was so bad, I am not sure the team actually successfully laid an egg. It was bad.

We do need to continue to look back at the game, however, including looking at the snap counts for the team, starting with the offense this morning.

Four players took all 78 of the team's offensive snaps. Offensive tackle Jason Fox, guard Dallas Thomas, guard Jamil Douglas, and quarterback Ryan Tannehill all played 100-percent of the game. The rest of the offensive line, center Mike Pouncey and offensive tackle Ja'Wuan James, each missed some snaps, giving them a 98-percent snaps played mark. Jeff Linkenbach filled in at tackle, playing 10-percent of the game, while Sam Brenner took the 8 percent Pouncey missed at center.

Wide receiver Jarvis Landry played 77-percent of the contest, while Greg Jennings was in the game for 60-percent of the snaps. DeVante Parker played 54-percent of the snaps, the most for the rookie thus far. Kenny Stills and Rishard Matthews rounded out the position group, playing 53-percent and 51-percent of the game, respectively.

Starting tight end Jordan Cameron took 74-percent of the snaps, while Jake Stoneburner appeared in 31-percent of the plays.

The running back corps saw Lamar Miller play 88-percent of the plays, with Jonas Gray on the field for 21-percent of the time and Damien Williams playing 19-percent of the game.
