There were rumors during the preseason that the Miami Dolphins had wanted to trade Will Davis. The team was unable to do so and ended up storing Davis on the 53-man roster.

Today however, Will Davis has been traded to the Baltimore Ravens. The Ravens are trying to shore up their secondary after allowing Derek Carr to have a career day.

Davis was drafted No.93 overall in the 2013 draft. He appeared in 15 games for the Dolphins and never started a game. He suffered an ACL injury last November, which ended his season. Davis was nothing more than a depth player for the Dolphins. He flashed potential every now and then but could never remain consistent.

After the trade of Davis, the Dolphins are left with Jamar Taylor and Zack Bowman as the two main backups to Brent Grimes and Brice McCain, who did not have a good day on Sunday. Bobby McCain and Tony Lippett are behind on the depth chart.
