NFL Power Rankings 2015: Dolphins lone 1-0 team to fall in SB Nation rankings

The Miami Dolphins won their opening week contest against the Washington Redskins. They were rewarded by being the lone 1-0 team to lose spots in SB Nation's power rankings.

NFL Power Rankings are a completely subjective thing, with no actual validity to it. But they sure are fun to read and debate. Typically in power rankings, if a team wins, they move up the rankings. If they lose, they move down. It does not always work that way, especially if something like a low ranked team nearly upstes a highly ranked squad; the low ranked team may move up a couple of spots as a recognition of their being able to hang with a top team.

When you go on the road and fight out a win in Week 1 of the season, you are probably going to move up the rankings a couple of spots. Usually. Unless you are the Miami Dolphins, apparently. According to the latest 2015 NFL Power Rankings from SB Nation, the Dolphins did enough in their 17-10 win over the Washington Redskins to lose one spot.

And they are the only team that won to lose ground in the power rankings:

#1 - New England - 1-0 - Up 2
#2 - Green Bay - 1-0 - No change
#3 - Denver - 1-0 - Up 1
#4 - Arizona - 1-0 - Up 5
#5 - Kansas City - 1-0 - Up 5
#6 - Buffalo - 1-0 - Up 13
#7 - Dallas - 1-0 - Up 4
#11 - Cincinnati - 1-0 - Up 2
#14 - San Diego - 1-0 - Up 1
#15 - St. Louis - 1-0 - Up 6
#16 - San Francisco - 1-0 - Up 6
#17 - Atlanta - 1-0 - Up 4
#20 - Carolina - 1-0 - No Change
#25 - New York Jets - 1-0 - Up 1
#27 - Tennessee - 1-0 - Up 5

Fifteen wins listed, 15 moves up - or at least remain unchanged. Then there is the 18th ranked Dolphins franchise, who is likewise 1-0 on the year. The Dolphins were 16th last week, so the Dolphins beat the Washington Redskins, and became the only 1-0 team in the league to lose a position on SB Nation's power rankings.

Something just does not seem right there.
