MNF: Minnesota Vikings @ San Francisco 49ers Live Thread

Christopher Hanewinckel-USA TODAY Sports

The Vikings hopes in 2015 rest on the idea that their second year quarterback Teddy Bridgewater will be improved with a season under his beld and of course the return from suspension of star running back Adrian Peterson. While Peterson is much closer to retirement vs. Bridgewater who is just in the infancy of his, most Vikings faithful hope that their careers will overlap long enough to bring some respectability back to the franchise. Adrian is bound to boost the Vikings rushing attack which fell to 14th last season.

For the San Francisco 49ers the focus will be more on the rushing ability of their quarterback Colin Kapernick. Colin was only second to Russel Wilson (849 yrds) in 2014 with 639 yards rushing. The 49ers will of course be led by new head coach Jim Tomsula after Jim Harbaugh left or was run out of town or something...It really depends on who you ask. The 49ers also suffered turnover on the roster this off-season with the retirement of Chris Borland, Patrick Willis, Justin Smith and Anthony Davis. Also now gone via free agency is former lead back Frank Gore and guard Mike Lupati.
