The Dolphins defense has 2 weeks to prepare for a new quarterback. The Redskins have moved on from Robert Griffin III, due to health reasons, performance reasons, personal reasons a decision made by head coach Jay Gruden in today's press conference. Kirk Cousins may not offer the athletic attributes that teams gameplan for versus RGIII, but Cousins has actually shown he can actually be a decent pocket passer (in glimpses), and he's in way better shape health-wise then RGIII. However, his first task will be a tough one as he will have to face one of the best (soon to be self-proclaimed 'THE BEST') defensive lines in the league, in Miami. Cameron Wake and Ndamakong Suh will just be two of the big names on Kevin Coyle's defensive that will look to make Cousins 2015 start a difficult one.
"He's our guy." - Gruden stated passionately as he closed his eyes and pointed towards the QB depth chart.
Through three seasons Kirk Cousins has put up a 2-7 record, throwing for 18 touchdowns, 19 interceptions and a career QB rating of 77.5. He should get a boost from the crowd being a season opener and all, however I think Washington's fans have grown impatient of their front office circus, so who knows how understanding their fanbase will remain? If Miami jumps out to a lead, I wouldn't be surprised if they controlled the crowd by the end of the game.
Despite Kirk Cousins getting the start, the Week 1 tickets actually show RGIII on them. Talk about AWKWARD.
RGIII is on the game ticket (1st regular season game vs Dolphins) that he won't be starting in (H/T @dmeslar2) pic.twitter.com/DYkHiZth4h

PS. How absolutely miserable do you think Jay Gruden is to be the coach of the Redskins? On a scale of 1-10? I'm going with a solid 8.
