The Miami Dolphins and Carolina Panthers are preparing to face off later tonight in a Preseason Week 3 contest. The game will feature prolonged play from the starters on both teams, with the coaches looking to this game to serve as the dress rehearsal for the regular season, just two weeks away. That does not mean all of the starters - or the key reserves - will take part in tonight's game. The Dolphins recently announced six players who will not be participating in the contest:
The following players will not play in tonight’s game: 11- Parker 22 – Taylor 32 – Bronson 57 – Tripp 71 – Albert 74 – Fox #ATLvsMIA

DeVante Parker, Miami's first round draft pick, has been sidelined throughout training camp after having surgery in June to replace a screw in his foot. Cornerback Jamar Taylor suffered a quadriceps injury last week and is expected to miss the rest of the preseason rehabbing it. Linebacker Jordan Tripp is battling an ankle injury, while offensive linemen Branden Albert (torn ACL last year) and Jason Fox (concussion) are also sidelined with injuries.
The Falcons also announced several of their players not hitting the field tonight:
Not playing in tonight's game: Trufant, Freeman, Moore, A. Smith, Akunne, Konz, White. #ATLvsMIA
