The Miami Dolphins have removed rookie wide receiver DeVante Parker from the Physically Unable to Perform list, the team announced this morning. They also took safety Don Jones off the list.
We have activated safety Don Jones and wide receiver DeVante Parker from the Active/Physically Unable to Perform list.

The move allows both players to begin practicing with the team. The team will take it slowly with including them in drills, working to ensure there is no setback that would prevent either player from being ready for opening week of the regular season. Both players pare recovering from surgery, Parker on his foot and Jones on his shoulder.
The activation also removes any chance of either player beginning the season on the Reserve/PUP list, which would have made them inactive for the first six games of the year.
Parker, Miami's first-round draft choice this year, is safely on the roster for the team when the regular season begins, but will have to show he is ready for a major role in the offense. Jones, the Dolphins' seventh-round pick in 2013, will have to fight for his roster spot this season; he was cut at the end of last year's preseason, spending the first half of the season with the New England Patriots before being cut and returning to the Dolphins after Thanksgiving as the team dealt with multiple injuries in the secondary.
