The NFL has released their list of the top 25 selling jerseys for May 2015. As expected, first round draft picks and free agents who signed with new teams dominate the list, although players like Peyton Manning and Andrew Luck still hold strong placements within the top 25.
For the Dolphins, free agent addition, defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh, breaks into the group. Miami signed Suh this offseason to a record breaking contract, inking him for 6-years at $114 million. The deal included $59.955 million in guanteed money, with a $25.5 million signing bonus.
Of course, the one jersey that may stick out the most is Tim Tebow sitting at 15th on the list. Football fans and analysts continue to ridicule Tebow for his throwing motion and his inability to play at the NFL level, yet he clearly still has a huge fanbse that will buy up his jersey, even if he is just a third string quarterback who may or may not make the Philadelphia Eagles' roster this year.
It is nice to see there are enough Dolphins fans out there excited about this season, and the signing of Suh, to get his jersey into the mix. Hopefully, this season will go well enough that next year, the May list includes multiple Dolphins players - instead of multiple Oakland Raiders.
