Miami Dolphins pass-rusher Cameron Wake was ranked No. 66 on NFL Network's Top 100 Players of 2014 list. He's ranked a tad bit higher on this year's list
Wake on Wednesday was revealed as No. 39 on the Top 100 Players of 2015 list, a full 27 spots above where he appeared last year. Friends and foes alike had plenty of good things to say about the veteran pass-rusher during his video segment:
"He's one of those guys that just walks onto the field and you're like, "My goodness."
Derek Carr, Oakland Raiders quarterback
"Cameron, of course he comes out of the tunnel, does his little flex show and tries to intimidate everybody. Then when you get on the field, you're like, 'You know what? He's not that big.' And then all of a sudden, he gets into you and you're like, 'Oh my goodness, here we go. This is going to be a fight.'"
Lee Smith, Oakland Raiders tight end
"What makes Cameron such a great pass-rusher is his get-off at the snap. He has tremendous quickness; his first step is one of the best in football. Tackles panic; when he's moving before you're moving, that's bad.
Tyson Clabo, former Miami Dolphins right tackle
"Cameron Wake, he's got this move that he'll bull (rush) you and then pull you by and get the edge. As much as anybody tries to replicate that move, nobody does it like him."
Chris Long, St. Louis Rams defensive end
