There is nothing good about the situation with Miami Dolphins defensive end Dion Jordan. In the span of less than a year, Jordan has been suspended by the NFL for drug use three times, twice last season for a total of six games, then again this offseason for the entire 2015 season. When he was suspended last year, Jordan admitted he had a problem and that he was working to deal with it.
The 2013 third-overall pick, Jordan came into the league with a ton of potential and the Dolphins were excited about getting him onto the field. Injuries and suspensions quickly derailed those plans, and now the team will not commit to Jordan once his suspension is complete.
It appears, the Dolphins are not the only ones backing away during Jordan's suspension. Jordan has stopped responding to his teammates as well. "It's a [expletive/rhymes with ditty] situation," defensive end Derrick Shelby told the Miami Herald's Barry Jackson. "I've texted him a few times but got no response."
The Dolphins nearly completed the long rumored trade of Jordan to the Philadelphia Eagles, according to reports, only to have the deal fall apart with the latest suspension. No matter what happens with Jordan in the future, and at this point, it appears he will be the biggest draft bust in team history, there has to be concern about the well being of, not the player, but the person.
Even if his future does not include another game in aqua, hopefully Jordan is able to get whatever assistance he needs to get his life back in order,
