2015 NFL Draft: Miami picks Cedric Thompson in 5th Round

This afternoon the Miami Dolphins have made their third selection in the 5th round of the 2015 NFL Draft.

Jim Dedmon-USA TODAY Sports

The Miami Dolphins have made their third selection in the 5th round of the 2015 NFL Draft by adding free safety Cedric Thompson from Minnesota. Thompson is the 14th pick of the 5th round, going 150th overall.

The addition of Thompson will add good competition to the safety position.  Dolphins safety Louis Delmas suffered an injury last year, and Thompson will be a useful safety net. Displayed good athleticism last year, but may need to work on his instincts at the next level.

So far today the Dolphins have added offensive guard Jamil Douglas from Arizona State in the 4th round, along with cornerback Bobby McCain from Minnesota and running back Jay Ajayi from Boise State by using the 145th and 149th overall selections in the 5th round.

Miami have one more selection to make in the 5th round with the 156th overall pick. Stay tuned, we'll bring you the final selection as it happens.
