Dolphins trade back in second round, swapping picks with the Eagles

The Miami Dolphins have traded their second round pick to the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Miami Dolphins have traded their second round pick to the Philadelphia Eagles. The trade gives the Eagles the 47th overall pick, while Miami receives the 52nd overall pick as well as two picks in the fifth round (145th overall and 156th overall).

Miami now has the 145th (from St. Louis Rams through Philadelphia Eagles), 149th (from Minnesota Vikings), 150th, and 156th (from Eagles) in the fifth round. The team could look to package those picks for an earlier pick, potentially finding a trade partner to regain the team's third round pick that was traded to the New Orleans Saints this offseason for wide receiver Kenny Stills.

Miami will now pick after the Cleveland Browns in the second round, who traded their earlier pick in the round to the Houston Texans.

Overall, the second round has been trade happy thus far, with Miami's move being the fourth trade in the round.
